Admission Process

Fill up the enquiry form or call us at 080-46809096. If you’ve already filled the enquiry form, you may click here to submit the application form, or use the link sent via email to start your application which will be shared when you fill up the enquiry form. Fill the registration form on the admission portal to initiate and submit the application form.

Step 2 – Submit Required Documents

After successful completion of the application form, you may upload the required documents using this link. You can also submit the same at the Ekya admissions office. Submission of the documents is mandatory to process your application and ascertain the student’s eligibilty for the Ekya SET (Student Entrance Test).

Documents Required

1. Five Passport size photo of the child.

2. Copy of the Birth Certificate

3. Copy of the Previous Academic Records (For Montessori Senior/ Kindergarten II and above)

4. Student, Father and Mother’s Aadhar Copy

5. Caste Certificate (If applicable )

6. Transfer Certificate (If available at the time of submission of the form, Last date to submit the Original TC is 31st of May 

Step 3 – Student Entrance Test (SET)

Post successful submission of the application form and required documents. Students can appear for the Ekya SET (Student Entrance test). Details of the Scheduled Student Entrance test will be sent to your registered Email ID. For complete details of the Student Entrance Test and sample papers click here
Please Note: Ekya SET (Written test) is application for students from Grade 1 onwards, For early years students there will be an interaction session instead of a written test. 

Step 4 – Acceptance and Admission Agreement

Complete application, documents and entrance test results of Students who have appeared for the Ekya SET, shall be forwarded for internal admission team review. Once the student has successfully cleared the entrance test, an acceptance mail will be sent to your registered email ID along with the admission agreement and fee payment details. The admission agreement should be signed and submitted back to the admission office within 10 days of receiving the acceptance email along with the requisite fee payment. 

Step 5 – Fee payment

Along with the acceptance letter, details of the fee along with the payment link shall be shared to the registered email ID. parents are required to complete the payment within 10 days of issuing the acceptance letter. Failure to complete the payment within the stipulated time will result in the withdrawal of the acceptance. The preferred mode of payment is DD or NEFT. 

Step 6 – Onboarding

Successful completion of the payment should be shared with the admission team at Ekya through an email post which the student’s admittance to Ekya will be communication to the registered email. Parents are requested to keep a tab on the important communications shared via email.

Programs Offered

Ekya Early Years ITPL offers a choice between Montessori program for children aged 2.5-6 and Kindergarten program for children aged 4-6. With a focus on independent learning, our mixed-age classrooms foster a love for discovery, creativity, and critical thinking. Our program encompasses physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth.

The Montessori program is a half day program for Montessori Beginners (2.5yrs), Montessori Sub Juniors (3yrs) and a full day program for Montessori Junior (4yrs), Montessori Senior (5yrs)

The Kindergarten program is a half day program for both Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2

The Primary and Middle School curriculum at Ekya ITPL is based on a Board agnostic approach. This helps students to become confident lifelong learners. The program is crafted inhouse and internationally benchmarked with world class practices adopted into everyday learning. This unique approach equips learners to inquire, care, create solutions to problems in the real world, connect back to the big ideas and communicate.

Ekya Programs are designed to ignite passion for learning in young minds. Our rigorous, challenging, and self-paced curriculum fosters academic excellence across all core learning areas, while also nurturing critical thinking skills, collaborative learning, innovation, and creative exploration.

At Ekya ITPL our Senior school program offers CBSE board. Our Grade XI & Grade XII students have the choice of streams in Science, Advanced Program in Science, Liberal Sciences, Commerce and Liberal arts. 

Our additional programs to prepare students for the competitive entrance exams include

Science Advanced for JEE, CET and NEET, Special programs for U-CEED (Design),  CLAT- LAW,  IPMAT- UG Management Programs and CA Examination.

How do I apply for admission to Ekya?

To initiate your admission process at Ekya, start by filling out the necessary details via the enquiry form or click on Apply Now to submit your application. After submitting your application and the essential documents, your child must take the Ekya SET (Student Evaluation Test). Successful performance in this test will qualify them for admission.

 

When does the admissions process start at Ekya?

Admissions for the academic year 2025-2026 will commence on 1st September 2024.

 

Is there an entrance test at Ekya?

What is the difference between Montessori and Kindergarten at Ekya?

The primary difference is their educational style. In Montessori, children lead their learning under adult supervision with an emphasis on social skills and life habits. Whereas, Kindergarten is structured into age-appropriate, hands-on activities. Both aim to prepare students for further education.

 

Why are there two options for the Pre-primary level at Ekya?

To cater to diverse needs: Kindergarten runs half-day, while Montessori spans a full day. This structure aids working parents and offers a focused pedagogy for the children’s formative years.

 

What is the purpose of Open House?

The Open House lets you explore Ekya’s teaching approach and environment. It allows parents to understand our commitment to holistic growth and meet our leadership team, who will highlight our curriculum and core values.

 

Can I have a campus tour at Ekya?

Yes, Parents can tour our campus during the Open House or with a prior appointment on working days i,e from monday to friday between 3:00pm to 4:30pm or on saturday’s between 9:00am to 3:00pm. Our campus walkthroughs offer a firsthand experience of our thoughtfully designed infrastructure that promotes engaged learning and growth.

 

What is the student-teacher ratio followed at Ekya?

At the Pre-primary level, it’s 1:20, and from the primary level onwards, it’s 1:30.

 

How does Ekya prepare its students for competitive exams?

At Ekya, we offer Additional Academic Programs that focus on building a conceptual foundation and analytical and problem-solving skills to help students prepare for college and competitive examinations. These programs are optional and conducted during after-school hours for our Grade 11 and Grade 12 students.

How many Ekya campuses are there in Bangalore?

There are five progressive Ekya campuses in Bangalore: JP Nagar, BTM Layout, ITPL, Byrathi, and NICE Road. Ekya’s first Purpose based school – Ekya Nava  is at Panathur.

 

Does Ekya allow inter-branch transfers?

Yes, but please note that the fee policy of the destination branch will apply.

 

Is there a transport service at Ekya Schools?

Yes, we do offer transportation. For details contact the school admission office.

 

What are the school timings at Ekya?

Primary and Secondary: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Kindergarten: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM; Montessori: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.

 

Does Ekya have a boarding facility?

No, Ekya does not provide boarding facilities.

 

What is the age criterion for admission at Ekya?
