World Mental Health Day Celebration at Ekya JP Nagar
On October 10, 2025, students and staff at Ekya JP Nagar came together to mark World Mental Health Day with activities that inspired conversation and kindness. The day began with a special morning assembly, where middle and senior school students shared heartfelt reflections on the importance of mental health. They spoke about what it means to care for one’s mind, the need to spread awareness, and simple, everyday ways to manage emotions and stay grounded.
Because Healthy Minds Make Happy Learners
The initiative aimed to remind students that mental well-being is just as vital as physical health. We created an open space for dialogue to nurture emotionally resilient learners who understand empathy, self-care, and the value of community support.
A Symbol of Awareness and Hope
To spread the message further, students proudly wore the green bow, the global symbol of mental health awareness. The act of pinning the green bow to their uniforms became a powerful gesture of solidarity; it will remind them that no one is alone in their mental health journey.
Learning Through Reflection
During the Life Skills period, students participated in sessions focused on self-awareness and emotional well-being. They created bookmarks with self-affirmations, writing words of encouragement and positivity to remind themselves of their strengths. These small tokens reflected a big message that kindness towards oneself is the first step towards kindness towards others.
Empathy in Action
The celebration concluded with a well-being session on empathy and perspective-taking. Students discussed how compassion and inclusivity can make a difference in school environments. It was a heartwarming end to a meaningful day. It captured the Ekya philosophy of nurturing both the mind and heart.
A Culture of Care at Ekya
At Ekya JP Nagar, mental health awareness is part of the school’s commitment to holistic education. We are therefore committed to weaving emotional intelligence and empathy into everyday learning to prepare students not only for success but for life itself.
