Ekya Students Celebrate Exploration Day
On October 9, 2025, students from Ekya Schools celebrated Exploration Day, designed to encourage hands-on learning across disciplines. Students from different grades converged in a shared space to explore a variety of interactive workshops that offered fun, learning, and skill-building. The activities included Vedic Math and Photography, and each session inspired young minds to think differently and explore freely.
Why It Mattered
Exploration Day invited students to learn through experience, expression, and experimentation. In line with Ekya’s holistic vision, learners stepped beyond textbooks to engage creatively and collaboratively with the world.
Hands-On Learning in Every Corner
Throughout the day, classrooms became learning studios as students participated in workshops like Pop-up Card Making, Drama, Comic Strip Creation, Stitching, Candle Making, Weaving Stories, Financial Literacy, and Indigenous Games such as Kho-Kho.
Sessions were led by passionate facilitators who shared their expertise, nurturing students’ skills and imagination.
Guided by Experts, Driven by Curiosity
The day’s success was made possible by the generosity of the experts who volunteered their time and energy. Their mentorship gave students a glimpse into the possibilities of learning beyond traditional classrooms. During the event, Ms. Avni led a captivating Zine Making workshop for Grades 8, 9, and 10 to help students combine art, writing, and design to tell their own stories.
A Day That Embodied Ekya’s Ethos
Events like Exploration Day are central to Ekya School’s commitment to experiential learning. We nurture academic excellence, self-awareness, teamwork, and confidence by providing students with opportunities like this.
