Education and learning are important tools to empower our human lives, without which Life itself is meaningless. However, is learning just enough? How do we know how much we have learnt or what we have learned is effective enough or to be put in broader terms, how do we know that we are competent and successful? What role or purpose does assessment and evaluation serve towards learning? Assessment helps both the educators and the learners to understand student learning and always keep improving teaching methods.
I have a very wholesome experience in terms of methodical teaching and assessment here in Ekya. We not only have a structured and guided approach towards teaching but also a very structured way of grading the students. We have assessments which are data driven and which helps us as educators to make decisions on what instructional tools to be used to get the maximum learning output from the students. Assessments also help educators to identify what the students have learnt successfully and which areas they need to work on. We have set rubrics that help us grading the students accurately based on their strengths. This in turn helps us improve our teaching methods and educational programmes. Ekya’s assessments motivate students with constructive feedback which help students to study and learn better which in turn ensures students’ success in learning.
In today’s competitive world of education, I personally feel that Ekya is the right educational institution for a child’s moulding of life and learning.
