Outbound Learning

The Outbound Learning Program at Ekya BTM Layout, is designed to help students make real-world connections and evolve into wholesome individuals. Every experience is age-appropriate, carefully curated and meticulously planned around experiential learning, adventure, sustainability and service themes. These trips allow students to discover themselves, the world around them, make connections with concepts learned in class and the immense possibilities available to them.

This year, our Outbound Learning program has planned several exciting trips for students. The Final Year Retreat will take place in September, with 145 students participating. The Parent Child Overnight Astro Adventure camp will be held in October, with 95 parents and 96 children joining in. We also have an Adventure Camp to Panchgani and Lonavala scheduled for 45 students, as well as an Outbound Adventure Trip to Tadoba Tiger Reserve for 21 students. These trips aim to provide students with experiential learning opportunities, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  •  Vriddhi Service Learning Program

As part of our Vriddhi Service Learning Program aimed at promoting health & wellness, our Grade 2 students began building our school garden today! They planted spinach, chilli, and pumpkin seeds, and got valuable gardening tips from our passionate teacher, Ms. Anupama, and our school gardener. We also introduced waste segregation bins in all classes, with a demonstration by our teachers & our housekeeping head, Ms. Sudha, to emphasize the importance of waste management. These initiatives are helping us achieve our health & wellness goals and align with our SLP vision for this year. Today’s zero hour was productive and informative, with students expressing enthusiasm for participating in future activities.

Experts at Ekya

Experts of Ekya is a monthly event where Ekya BTM  invites experts from diverse fields to speak to our students about their work. Experts who have made their mark across the spectrum of professions share their experiences and talk about their careers. Through these interactions students understand that there is a difference between the underlying passion involved in being a profession that one really likes and the one that is forced upon them.

Be it writing a story, making advertisements or short films, architecture, growing up or any topic of interest, through these talks, students realise that success is the result of the pursuit of excellence, hard work, dedication and commitment. Our students learn to formulate and ask relevant questions, engage with public speaking, and develop a sense of curiosity about the world. Through this program, we want to help our students make responsible career choices in the future.
