About Ekya School Byrathi

Spread over two acres, the Ekya Byrathi campus in North Bengaluru is affiliated with the Cambridge IGCSE and ICSE curriculum. Recognised for its infrastructure, Ekya Byrathi provides a safe and stimulating environment for children to foster their learning journey, offering Montessori and grade 1 to 10 education.

Ekya Schools, founded in 2010, carries a 30-year legacy of educational excellence, rooted in the CMR Group’s commitment to quality education since 1990. Ms. Jinu Harikesh Pavithran
Head of School
Ms. Jinu Pavithran, a visionary education leader with 24 years of dedicated service in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, holds a master's degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Education. Proud recipient of the esteemed NCERT award for Innovative Practices in Education (2023) and the Innovation Ambassador badge (2022), she has showcased her commitment to educational innovation through pioneering presentations at National-level Seminars. She is passionately dedicated to nurturing self-sufficient lifelong learners. She finds joy in gardening, reading, and cooking in her leisure.
Ms. Indrani Das
CCA Coordinator
Ms Indrani Das has been a dedicated Science teacher at Ekya School, ITPL since 2019. Born in Guwahati, she holds an M.Sc in Biotechnology from Bangalore University. Before joining Ekya, she worked as a research fellow and guest lecturer in Guwahati starting in 2014. She completed her B.Ed in 2020, further solidifying her commitment to education. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer with a passion for both classical and folk dance forms. She participates in several dance programs each year, finding that this creative outlet keeps her energised. In her leisure time, she enjoys travelling and reading books. Ms. Das's diverse interests and dedication to her profession make her a valued member of the Ekya School community.
Ms. Suma Mohan
Academic Coordinator
Ms. Suma Mohan is a dedicated and passionate educator who lives by the motto, "The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the books." As the Academic Coordinator at Ekya School, she oversees the academic programs for the entire school. With a B.Sc and B.Ed degree, and TESOL certification, she has taught English, Science, and Life Skills at CMRNPS and has over a decade of experience teaching English in Japan. Fluent in Japanese, Ms. Suma embraces the UbD framework, believing it enables profound learning experiences. She advocates for teachers to be warm, enthusiastic, and creative, simplifying complex concepts to ignite a passion for learning in students.

School Timings:

  • Montessori Beginners & Sub Juniors – 8:05 am to 12:30 pm (Flexible reporting time between 8:05 am – 9:15 am)
  • Kindergarten 1 & 2 – 8:05 am to 12:30 pm
  • Montessori Junior & Senior –  8:05 am to 3:00 pm
  • Grades 1 to 10 – 8:05 am to 3:00 pm

All Saturdays are holidays for students in pre-primary and primary school. Students from Grades 6 and above have holidays on the second and fourth Saturday.

Transportation Guidelines

  • Here is an indicative list of localities that fall under the transport route provided by Ekya BTM Layout.
  • The bus will stop at the allocated pick-up point only.
  • Door-to-door pick-up will not be entertained.
  • Students are allowed to use their allotted bus and bus stop. No change will be allowed without prior permission from the school authorities in writing.
  • Pre Primary and Primary children will only be handed over to the parent/guardian. In their absence at the point, the child will be brought back to school and parents are to pick them up from school directly.
  • Students must not move around the bus while the bus is in motion.
  • A student using the school bus is expected to be at the bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus.
  • Buses will not wait for latecomers.
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded.
  • Parents are to submit their requests for transportation to the office at the time of admission.
  • Transport facilities will be confirmed and announced before the start of the academic year – based on feasibility and viability determined by student numbers.
