Ekya ITPL continues to nurture creativity and purpose-driven learning, and Medha Sharma’s recent achievement is a shining example. Last year, Plaeto, a revolutionary footwear brand founded by former Nike innovators, launched a national competition inviting design students from across India to create original shoe designs. Medha, an aspiring product designer, rose to the challenge with a unique creation that earned her the prestigious Best Design Award.

Plaeto, known for its innovative multipurpose shoes designed specifically for Indian feet, with features like Tilt Lacing, a Wide Toe Box, and outsoles suited for diverse surfaces, was so impressed by Medha’s design that they went ahead and manufactured it.

Recently, she received a pair of her custom-designed shoes along with a personalized note from the CEO, marking a memorable milestone in her budding career.

Inspired by Medha’s talent, Plaeto has now announced another competition, extending a special invitation to Ekya School as a Design Progressive School. Her achievement celebrates individual brilliance and reflects Ekya’s commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, and real-world skills in our learners.
